sisterMAG is a new digital magazine for widely interested, active women. Regularly we will cover topics ranging from Career, Technology, Future Trends to Fashion, Lifestyle, Traveling and DIY. Women's magazines have always mirrored social movements and developments in their content and foci of coverage. With sisterMAG we want to target a group of females which has been neglected by traditional publishing houses and editorial departments: the many up-and-coming, well-educated, very active and independent women, which are enthusiastic for the digital world and want to be presented with new and exciting content in a visually appealing way.


The magazine is an online flip-through magazine with content exclusively created and assembled for the digital purpose. The first issue launched on 24th February 2012. sisterMAGAZINE is the idea of the sisters Antonia (Toni) and Theresa (Thea).

They embody the ideal of sisterMAG – not only because they are actually sisters – but also our magazine wants to create a community of ambitious, like-minded and individual women, who want to inspire and help each other as well as enjoy each others company – whether it is in the digital or analogue world. Naturally we can create this magazine only with a lot of help from friends and contributors. Toni works in the Mobile industry for five years now. In this spirit she loves trying out new things, ideas and trends and likes to travel – whether in thoughts or in real live! About her traveling she regularly posts on her personal blog Toni in Viaggio. When she is not ruminating about trends and developments she loves to digress to past times with a library full of biographies and historical novels. By the way: her books are right next to a huge shelf full of colour-coordinated shoes!

Thea is 6 1/2 years younger but 10 cm taller than her 'little' sister. She is nearly finished with writing her Master thesis in her university major 'Publishing Technologies' in Leipzig. For more than 3 years she has been passionate about blogging and writing about Fashion, Outfits, DIY, Lifestyle as well as Cities and Traveling on her blog Neu4bauer. It was only a small step to think about making an own online magazine, however it remains a huge challenge and excitement!
